Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 6 September 2026

These terms are a practical website baseline and should be reviewed for RouteRescue’s final business structure, insurance arrangements and technician contracts before full commercial launch.

1. The platform

RouteRescue connects drivers requesting roadside assistance with technicians or service providers who may be able to help. Availability depends on location, technician availability, service type and the information provided in the request.

2. Driver requests

You must provide accurate contact, vehicle and location information and should not use RouteRescue as a substitute for emergency services. If there is immediate danger, a collision, fire, unsafe live-lane breakdown or another emergency, call 999 or follow official road-safety guidance.

3. Prices and payment

Prices shown for standard services are the RouteRescue price presented at checkout. If the required work changes materially, any different or additional charge should be explained and agreed before additional work is carried out. Payments are processed by Stripe.

4. Technician applications

Submitting an application does not guarantee approval. Technicians are responsible for maintaining the licences, qualifications, insurance, road-legal vehicles and equipment appropriate to the services they offer. RouteRescue may request evidence and may suspend or refuse access where requirements are not met.

5. Platform fee

For completed paid jobs, RouteRescue’s current technician platform fee is 10% of the job price, with the technician receiving the remaining 90%, unless a separate written agreement applies.

6. Safety

Drivers and technicians must prioritise safety and comply with applicable road, vehicle, recovery, insurance and licensing requirements. No one should attempt work where conditions make it unsafe.

7. Cancellations, refunds and disputes

Where a job cannot proceed, is cancelled, or a service is disputed, RouteRescue may review the circumstances and payment status. A specific cancellation and refund policy should be published before large-scale commercial launch.

8. Acceptable use

Do not submit false requests, impersonate another person, attempt to access restricted dashboards, interfere with the website, scrape private request data or use the service for unlawful activity.

9. Privacy

Personal information is handled as described in the Privacy Notice.

10. Contact

For privacy matters use privacy@routerescue.co.uk. RouteRescue should publish a general customer-support contact before full commercial launch.
